GainSpan Names Broadcom Veteran Richard Najarian Senior Director, Solutions Marketing

New appointment builds company's strategic marketing bench

SAN JOSE, CA - GainSpan® Corporation, a leader in wireless connectivity solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT), has appointed former Broadcom veteran Richard Najarian as Senior Director, Solutions Marketing to further strengthen the company’s global marketing team and support GainSpan through its next stages of market growth. He reports to Greg Winner, GainSpan CEO and president.

Najarian brings more than 20 years of wireless semiconductor experience to GainSpan, where he focuses on marketing, product management and partner relationships for the company’s value-added solutions. GainSpan's leading-edge solutions help customers create cost-effective IoT products and dramatically reduce time to market.

At Broadcom, Najarian was most recently senior director, product marketing for the Wi-Fi Access Business Unit, responsible for product and business strategy for the chipset business serving the connected home and office. At Broadcom he also served as senior director, business development for the GPS Business Unit responsible for international business development, applications engineering and customer support. Earlier, he served in various senior management positions with Global Locate (acquired by Broadcom), RF Micro Devices, IBM Microelectronics and Rockwell Semiconductor.

Najarian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from UCLA. He holds five patents related to GPS signal processing methods and GPS RF system architecture.
